Money, Activism, Climate Action: Strategies for a Sustainable Future

According to the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), Europe is currently the continent experiencing the fastest warming, placing the vulnerable and beautiful ecosystem of the Alps at significant risk. Despite the clear alarm signals from scientists and nature itself, we are confronted with increasing opposition on one side and growing disinterest on the other. So, what can we do to address climate change?

In this workshop, we will explore an often-overlooked topic that can feel abstract and distant: financial flows and their impact on climate change. Additionally, we will delve into another important issue that many still fail to recognize fully: the power of activism. Finally, we will engage in collective discussions and brainstorming sessions in breakout groups to strategize on how to influence political decision-making at various levels—regional, national, and EU—through advocacy and activist tools.
