Wanted: innovative ideas for the Alps
Young and committed people can now apply for the second “Alpine Changemaker Basecamp” in July 2023, where they can further develop and optimise their project ideas in a professional environment.
The second “Alpine Changemaker Basecamp” will be held in Schlanders/I from 3 to 7 July 2023. It offers 20 motivated people of between 18 and 30 years of age the opportunity to further develop their project ideas for social change and sustainable development in the Alpine region along with like-minded companions, and to exchange ideas about future perspectives that are worth living. They will also be supported and accompanied by mentors from various fields. Group inputs, individual coaching, peer-to-peer exchanges and self-organised work will give the budding changemakers exactly the right tools to take their ideas further. In addition, there will be time to get to know each other, enjoy stimulating discussions and share experiences.
Organising the camp will be the job of the Alpine Changemaker Network, an international team drawn from the likes of NGOs, science, entrepreneurship, social innovation and regional development. The mentors provide various tools, offer new perspectives and pass on practical knowledge to facilitate and advance the implementation of ideas. Project manager Marion Ebster emphasises: “We believe that young people have incredible potential to make life in the Alps good and sustainable for everyone! We want to help make that visible and enable positive change”.
Participation in the “Alpine Changemaker Basecamp” means five days of learning, reflection, personal development, networking, exchanges and shared experiences. A diverse group from the Alpine region will meet to inspire and motivate one another. Following the camp, participants will continue to receive support in the form of online mentoring.
