This action has four main objectives:
* To review European and national legislations and policies for creating ecological networks
* To identify target species which habitats are part of the study area
* To give an overview of transboundary and regional cooperation initiatives on ecological networks in the study area
* To identify options for future transboundary and regional cooperation on ecological networks
The study area comprises not only the TransEcoNet search area as defined in action 3.1. In contrast the map in Fig. 1 shows the main natural geographic units and existing cooperation institutions in Central and Southeast Europe considered by the study.
