The aim of this report is to identify a tool serving this Strategy that is as coherent and comprehensible as possible and enjoys broad support across the board, from one environment to another and from one country to another, while catering for the dynamic forces of complexity and diversity that shape both natural and human environments as well as both scientific hypotheses and management patterns. It is a contribution towards the setting up of another network, in which know-how is exchanged in the interests of managing and developing nature (Lefeuvre, 1998).
