This paper's objective is to define the long-term orientation and plans of the Alpine network of Protected Areas and of the collaboration between Alpine protected areas within the Alpine Convention. It defines the priorities and the institutional background and the structure of the Network and its bodies. There are also perspectives about the long-term strategies of the Alpine protected areas and the Network. This document does not replace the "Internal Regulation" of the Alpine Network and does not define individual processes or procedures. It rather shows the efforts and the objectives of the Alpine Network for the next few years.
