This field manual represents the state of the art of the sampling methods for the GLORIA's Multi-Summit Approach. It is based on the previous versions and was finalised on two GLORIA-EUROPE meetings by including the experiences from the fieldwork in 18 GLORIA target regions in 2001 and 2002.
The manual provides the basic guidelines for a standardised field application of the GLORIA monitoring method. It was designed to be universally applicable in the world-wide range of alpine environments from polar to tropical latitudes.
