OUT4INGOV: Shaping youth migration

The emigration of young people poses major challenges for many Alpine regions. The OUT4INGOV project is working with local organisations to develop innovative approaches to better manage youth migration and raise awareness of the issue in society.

Many young people leave the mountain regions because they see few job opportunities and future prospects there. As a result, there is a lack of skilled labour (brain drain) and the population is shrinking, which poses significant social and economic challenges for many regions in the Alps. This is precisely where the OUT4INGOV project comes in. Through inclusive policies and close cooperation with local organisations, the project aims to develop a strategic framework that not only addresses migration-related issues but also fosters greater engagement and resilience in the communities impacted by these trends.
