Early warning system for wolves

The New York Wildlife Conservation Society has developed an early warning system for wolf attacks to help prevent conflicts between man and beast, and as a result also protect the wolves.

A geographic information system is used to correlate various data such as the location of grazing pastures, farm sizes and wolf habitats, which is then processed in maps and forecasts. According to researchers the system can be applied to any region and also to other predators.
