Challenges in managing large carnivores and the role of large carnivore centers
ERSAF, as part of the LIFE SNAP NatConnect2030 project, is organizing a series of meetings called “Agorà on Large Carnivores” to promote the exchange of experiences and the sharing of best practices for managing large carnivores.
The first workshop will take place on Thursday 21 November 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Palazzo Pirelli in Milan*. REGISTRATION REQUIRED .
This workshop provides an opportunity to discuss the challenges in managing large carnivores and the role of large carnivore centers, drawing on experiences from the LIFE Wolfalps EU project as well as insights from technicians and experts in the field.
The event will feature two parts: the first part will present an overview of tools and best practice for large carnivore management. The second part will involve participatory activities in working groups to discuss proposals and ideas regarding the roles, objectives, and actions related to *large carnivore centers*.
The outcomes of the workshop will inform the structure and tasks of the Regional Technical Centre on Large Carnivores, which is set to be established as part of the project.
The event will be held in Italian, but interpreters will be provided for those who need them.
