We comply with the statutory data protection provisions governing the collection and processing of user data and will only store data to the extent and for as long as this is necessary and permitted by law. When you access our website the following data will be stored in log files: IP address, date, time, browser request and general information transmitted to the operating system or browser. These data will form the basis for anonymous statistical evaluations and give no indication of the data subject involved.

Our website, databases and other systems are secured by means of technical and organisational measures against the loss, destruction, access, modification or distribution of user data by unauthorised persons.

Users have the right to obtain, free of charge, information about which of their personal data have been stored, as well as the rectification, blocking, or deletion of such data. Use of data

The user agrees to the following rules on the use of personal information:

We will store personal information (in particular, contact information such as first and family names, e-mail address, postal address) in order to send newsletters, invitations, news about events and information about activities.

The personal information stored is gathered by filling out forms on our website through the user (eg. when subscribing to our publications).

We only send information by e-mail at the express request of the user, who in this case consents to our use of their contact details to provide information about our activities and events. Users can at any time opt out of this information or delete their contact data.

We use cookies on our website in order to accelerate navigation. Cookies are small files which will be temporary placed on your hard disk. Our cookies do not contain any personal information ensuring that your privacy remains protected.

Privacy statement regarding the use of Matomo Analytics

This website uses Matomo Analytics, an open-source software. With your consent, we use the open source software Matomo to analyse and statistically evaluate the use of the website. Cookies are used for this purpose. The information obtained about website usage is transmitted exclusively to our servers and summarised in pseudonymous usage profiles. We use the data to analyse the use of the website. The data collected is not passed on to third parties.

The IP addresses are anonymised (IP masking) so that they cannot be assigned to individual users.

The data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR. In doing so, we are pursuing our legitimate interest in optimising our website for our public image.

You can revoke your consent at any time by deleting the cookies in your browser or changing your data protection settings.

Privacy policy for the use of Donorbox

We use Donorbox to accept online donations; if a user makes use of this option, the data entered in the associated form will be transmitted to us. The donation is processed by the third-party provider Donorbox of Rebel Idealist LLC, located at 5 3rd St, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103. Data protection information: Privacy policy.

The following data is collected with the form: Full name (surname, first name), address (street, house number, city, postcode, country), e-mail address, credit card information such as card type, card number, CVV/CVC verification number, credit card validity period.

The data entered is transmitted directly via an encrypted SSL connection to the technical service providers (Visa, Mastercard and PayPal) used by Donorbox to provide the form in order to execute the donation order.

The data collected is required to complete and fulfil the donation order. The e-mail address is required to confirm receipt of the donation order and to thank for the donation. The data will not be used for any other purposes.

The data will not be passed on to other third parties. CIPRA International does not store any card data itself. Our service providers may only use the information to fulfil their tasks and are obliged to comply with data protection regulations.

At the time the form is sent, the user's IP address is also stored. We use the IP address to prevent misuse of the donation form. The IP address is used for the purpose of fraud prevention and to prevent unauthorised transactions to the detriment of third parties. The legal basis for the processing of the IP address is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

The user has the option to object to the processing of the data at any time. However, it should be noted that in the event of an objection, the donation order can no longer be executed as desired.
